Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born at Winona Minnesota. She was named by her parents after the town in which she grew in. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder, who considers herself Jewish, is descended from Ryder's Jewish father. Her half-siblings are younger, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder as well as her entire family relocated to Mendocino County in California at the age of seven. Ryder was just seven. At the time, there was no electricity. Ryder would read extensively because of the lack of television. Ryder began taking acting lessons at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983, when she was 12 years old. In 1986 she was offered her first big-screen role in the movie Lucas she was only 15 years old. Ryder suffered bullying in the high school. Ryder hoped that her actions might change the situation. However, it didn't come pass. However, it didn't stop her from making plans for her future. Beetlejuice which was a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first major breakthrough. Ryder continued playing characters that made a splash in several movies. She was nominated for two Academy Awards one for her performance as a character in The Age of Innocence (1993).
